Q. How should artwork be provided to Design Mark?

Q. Do I own the tooling required to make my parts?
A. Tooling charges are one-time charges to cover the costs of design and engineering. It is common practice in this and other industries that the supplier retains physical ownership of the tooling but holds it for the exclusive use of the original customer. We will maintain and/or replace the tooling as long as the part remains active within a 3-year period.
Q. What are your lead-times?
A. Our standard lead-times range for each product line:
Flexographic Printing - 2 weeks on new flexo, 1 week on reorders
Screen Printing - 3 weeks on new screen, 2 on reorders
Membrane Switches - 6-8 wks on new switch design, 4-6 on switch reorders
Q. What information do I need to provide to get a quote?

Q. Are you ISO certified?
A. Yes, we have been ISO certified since 1998. Our certification is located under the Quality section of our website.
Q. Does Design Mark provide UL recognized and CSA accepted products?
A. Yes! We do provide UL recognized and CSA accepted products.
Q. Do you have standard pricing?
A. We do not have standard pricing for our printed products as they are custom made to order.
Q. What are charges for preproduction?
A. You may incur additional charges for art/prep, tooling, and engineering. All charges depend on the complexity of a project.
Q. Is there an additional charge for expediting an order?
A. At Design Mark, we make every effort to provide products to you when you need it. Normally we do not charge for expediting an order, but if we run into an unusual circumstance, we may add a fee.
Q. What forms of payment do you accept?
A. We accept checks, EFT, wire transfers, and credit cards.
Q. Can you print any color? Are there extra fees for custom colors?
A. Yes, we can we print in any color with our computerized color matching system. No, there are no extra fees for custom colors.
Q. Is all work done in-house?
A. We like to do as much of the work in-house if possible, but there are occasions when we use outside contractors to satisfy special customer requests or to make tooling and fixtures.
